"We started writing Rejoice in October of 2017 not knowing what a huge part of our story it would become. 3 months later we learned the Rebekah had a very rare form of cancer that required immediate treatment. In the weeks that followed, as we battled insurance and learned more about the disease and her specific case, we continued to write and then complete the song for an upcoming record with our church, CCV.

The theme of the song comes from Philippians 4 where Paul tells the Church to rejoice in the Lord no matter what their circumstances were, and to trust Him in His unshakeable sovereignty with the outcome, knowing that He is good and He loves us. We were literally walking through a very difficult thing as the Holy Spirit was drawing us into His comfort and peace and writing this song through us. Now as we sing the song it comes from such a deeper place than it could have the year before. It comes from a deeper place of trust and understanding that the Lord is good and His love for us is unshakeable and transcends our circumstances and life here on earth." - BRAD+REBEKAH

Brad + Rebekah married in 2006 and two years later started traveling full time, bringing with them a passion for worship both in leading and teaching. 13 years later they continue to travel and pour into others around the world along with their two littles. Their heart is to write songs that are simple, solid and singable. For Brad + Rebekah, the release of "Rejoice" is a celebration; one that has taken a long journey of patience, trust and the reminder that in all things we are to rejoice in God's timing and plans.
